TESTIMONIALS

Being a conservancy, there were only a few safari cars in the park. This really added to the experience of being in the Mara - enjoying the landscape, sunrise, sunset, silence, animal calls and being able to get up close to the animals and witnessing behaviours and nature almost within touching distance. Moses is a super guide. During 3 game drives and a walk to the sunset tree we saw so many animals and witnessed some amazing things. We would have no hesitation to recommend this camp to anyone considering a visit to a conservancy in Mara north.

My son's quote about the visit: "my cheeks are hurting from smiling"

We've just come back from an absolutely fantastic week at Mattikoko. Moses, Marion and their team are absolutely brilliant.

The camp is extremely well located for safari drives - and for seeing wildlife from every part of the camp. The moment you leave for a drive there is plenty to see; Moses, Boston and James were excellent guides, they have a wealth of knowledge about wildlife and African fieldcraft and were always happy to share it with us.
All in all it's a fantastic place - we were welcomed and cared for, ate really well, and saw and learned a lot about Mara wildlife. What more could you ask for?

Beautiful, secluded camp with great views of the Kileleoni Hills from the tents and mess/dining area (with the highest hill in and around the Maasai Mara). Frequent visitors passing by the camp include giraffes, elephants, zebras and impalas, with lion roars often heard from bed at night. I have stayed 5 different times at Mattikoko Safari Camp during the last year and hope to continue coming back again and again in the near future!

The wildlife really does come right up to your tent day and night. Hyenas came within 20 feet of my tent and a hippo was grazing around camp one night. But there are Masai patrolling at night to keep you safe. During the day, the guides take you out round the Lemek Conservancy and they know what's happening and where it's happening and are very knowledgeable about the wildlife, area and history. Moses and his wife are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and have started this camp to be ecologically sound and carbon neutral while still delivering a trip you will remember for a lifetime. Try it out, you will not regret it.
